We've made it easy to create scannable assessments, align them to state standards, administer exams to students, and collect the results.
The first step involves creating a set of answer sheets and aligning them to state standards. Use our simple wizard interface to choose how many questions this exam should have and which questions test which standards. Your exam may include any combination of multiple choice, True/False, and short and long constructed response items, which are teacher scored using a rubric scale prior to scanning. Once you are satisfied with your exam, print out plain paper answer sheets with each student's name pre-printed on the answer form. Each answer sheet will be unique to the student, reducing errors that stem from erroneous student IDs or from filling out the answer form incorrectly.
Completed answer sheets can be scanned into Data Driven Classroom using a simple utility on our web site. Just place the sheets in the scanner and watch them go. Exams are automatically scored as they are loaded into the database.
Our scannable exam solution doesn't require expensive hardware - just a plain-paper, TWAIN compatible scanner with ADF (automatic document feeder) that costs $250-$400.
Results from the scanned exams automatically become part of Data Driven Classroom. That means you can compare and contrast results against state standards, classroom grades, statewide tests, or any other measure in our system. You can view results online, print them out in PDF format for distribution, or even export them to Excel, should you feel the need for some customized analysis.
